Masterclasses in digital 2D Animation

Study the core principles of movement with master animator, TonyWhite.
Held online as 4 x 12-week modules, Tony will be teaching using digital hand-drawn & rigged techniques. Each 2-hour class is taught live every Tuesday night*.
(Note: International students, or others who cannot attend the live classes, will be provided private video access to the class recordings - and at a 30% discount price.)

COURSE DETAILS

Module 01: Will be taught on the iPad (or similar digital drawing tablet) using Rough Animator software. (Note: Although the classes will be demonstrated on the iPad, students can use traditional pencil & paper - or even flipbook - techniques to animate the core principles of movement.)

Module 02: Will be taught using rigged digital animation techniques using MOHO software. (Note: Although the classes will be demonstrated in MOHO, students are free to use traditional pencil & paper - or even flipbook - techniques to animate the core principles of movement.)

Module 03: Will focus on industry-standard processes using in Film Pre-Production, based on the students own short-film designs and storyline. 

Module 04: Will focus on industry-standard processes using in Film Production, based on the students own short-film designs and storyline, establish in Module 03.

 
DIPLOMA AWARD

Students successfully completing all 4 modules will be awarded the 2D Academy's DIPLOMA IN 2D ANIMATION - although students can alternatively sign-up for single module classes if they wish. T-shirts will also be awarded, with each student's film being automatically entered into the 2D ACADEMY's own JUNIOR GOLDEN PENCIL AWARDS  at the DRAWTASTIC Animation Festival. 

HIGH SCHOOL CREDIT

Eligible high school students are also able to acquire a 1 Art credit for an elective course by concurrently registering to this joint-course in conjunction with the Seattle Voctech School. www.seattlevt.com*

*  Live classes will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm (Pacific Time) every Tuesday night on Zoom. There are 12 classes per module and the 2022 program begins on Tuesday, 14th September. (Late sign-ups and distant students are welcome - as each class will be fully recorded and posted into a private classroom for viewing on the "2D ANIMAKERS" network the following day.) Recorded classes will remain available to students for 6-months after graduation.

Cost:  $840 (calculated at $35 per hour for each 12 x 2-hour class)
