Hi Audrey.
This is an edited video from my more advanced, module 1, animation class - '12 PRINCIPLES OF ANIMATION'. I teach it live, every Tuesday night on Zoom, via the 2D Academy at certain times throughout the year.
This 1-hour 13-minute excerpt is just part of the full 2-hour class I teach each Tuesday night. It specifically covers the core principles involved in creating a 'Generic Walk'.
(Note: I actually teach Generic Walks over 2 weeks - i.e. in 2 separate classes. However, this one specifically covers the 'lower body' section that you're most interested in - that is, the 'back leg extension'.)
Hopefully it will help you understand the principle more clearly than my Shoreline CC class allows me to cover.
The entire animation course is taught using the digital 'Rough Animator' app that all my students work with - although it is easy to translate the principles shown to any animation method, digital or traditional, that you're using.
Hope it helps? :)
