From Pencils to Pixels in MOHO

My 2D animation test/demo sequence:

This is a demo sequence I created for my "Tuesday Night Live" animation class, showing students how to develop a traditionally hand-drawn pencil test scene, into a final color video using MOHO.

It was an extended class exercise in a) doing a good generic walk using pencil & paper, b) importing the pencil test video into MOHO to ink and color, c) import background layers and color them using the "light to dark" principle, then d) creating multiple panning speeds on the background layer to give the illusion of depth and distance while the character repeats on a 16-frame walk cycle.

It will be part of a series of digital animation courses I will be teaching and releasing on-demand in the future.
